Solo exhibition with 31 works on unstretched canvas. It was the diary of my life, created over two years during lockdown. The colours were strong because the emotions were deep. Mostly I was optimistic, but there were days when the negativity and the uncertainty in the world pushed me to look for solace, and that I found in my work.

September 1, 1939 by W.H. Auden, written on the eve of war, resonated with me during that tumultuous time.

September 1, 1939
We must love one another or die.
Defenceless under the night
Our world in stupor lies;
Yet, dotted everywhere,
Ironic points of light
Flash out wherever the Just
Exchange their messages:
May I, composed like them
Of Eros and of dust,
Beleaguered by the same
Negation and despair,
Show an affirming flame.
